These delightful earthenware pins are made by hand in central Massachusetts using an old European glaze technique known as majolica. Glaze has been applied in a time honored tradition, combined them with earthenware impressions cast from European woodcuts dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. This combination resulted in the creation of these beautiful art wear pins.

Low-fired earthenware clay is first rolled into a slab from which each piece is hand pressed into a mold. Once cured, each piece is finished by hand, bisque fired and glazed similar to majolica.

Made entirely by hand. Slight variations in design and color add character.
